Zimmerman Enterprises (Formerly Cape May E-Commerce Exchange)

May of 2004 we moved into a newly constructed home in Millville, NJ. We lived in Cape May Court House for a few years. The home in Cape May Court House was sold in October of 2003. Our business with eBay has been in existence since January of 2000. I have been a member of eBay since December 1998 as a buyer and a brouser. Our primary focus is on US and world coins, medals, advertising items, postcards, bottles, ephemera, military and Boy Scout items, USCG items, and dolls. We also are interested in many subjects found in ebooks so we expanded our business to include ebooks at http://www4264.dropshipwholesale.net

We have sold such items as old tools, scientific equipment, art, books, baseball cards, new leather jackets, Franklin Mint, jewelry, bottle caps, antiques, belt buckels, other new and slightly used clothes, die cast cars, dishes...

Through consignments we have many new friends such as Jan and Cy. We have sold for coworkers, friends and relative too. A good percentage of our listings have been as Trading Assistants in the now 856 area code and formerly in the 609 area code. We have three younger children who are regular eaters at our table and one grown that is here during the week plus two older children who drop by occassionally. I like the coins, bottles and postcards. My wife likes the dolls, jewelry and Cobalt glass. We both are collectors of Clevenger Brothers Glass.

Our business plan is to continue growing with online sales and feedback providing customer assistance and free or minimal cost for shipping and not to make money on the shipping and handling or even paypal fees!!! We have been overcharged for shipping and handling. Other types of items to be sold are being constantly reviewed. I have mentored locally many people on eBay and online sales. I am in the process (ongoing) to write about it. At this time we have sold almost 6,000 items online from all venues. The bulk has been eBay. There are local auctions we buy and sell at as well as flea markets and yard sales. At this time I want to place ads in local papers and local media to buy items for sale. We have sorted through the items when we moved to downsize. Some items are sold, given away and other thrown out. It is a blessing to be able to give useable items to those who need them!!! The younger children are being homeschooled. I am enrolled in Asbury Seminary and my wife was attending DeVry University and is now enrolled in Thomas Edison State College in pursuit of her BA in business and with a concentration on programming/systems. Our long term plan is to retire from NJ and relocate to KY or the midwest. I have been retired (RET-2) from the USCGR since January 2002.
