Kencan Fly Fishing Flies was formed in 2000 after a church organization in Kenya requested KenCan flies to be its' sole marketing representative in North America. Our main purpose was to support skilled Kenyan fly tiers to create a continuous source of income so as they can support their families productively. Fly tying has been thriving in Kenya since the 1920's. It was introduced by British missionaries who came to Africa to establish churches and schools to help local indigenous Kenyans. The missionaries needed to generate funds to support the humanitarian programs locally, and at the same time create an income to Kenyans. As a result of this, Kenyanow has highly skilled and experienced fly tiers. While our goal is to assist the tiers with a source of income, we also consider your money as well spent because-,(For every Dollar you spend in our store, a portion goes to help a needy child in our fly tying organization and also to work with the church organization). Our Mission is to produce and supply quality flies, Fly Fishing Gifts, Tackle and fishing baits at very competitive prices so as to serve our buyers effectively. We price our flies reasonably enough so as we can pass the savings to our supportive buyers towards most of their fly fishing needs.
