What is an APO (or FPO) address?
APO stands for "Army Post Office," and is associated with Army or Air Force installations. FPO stands for "Fleet Post Office," and is associated with Navy installations and ships.
APO/FPO is NOT a P.O. Box. APO/FPO Shipping is easy. Most APO/FPO addresses have the following general restrictions:
- Packages may not exceed 70 lbs.
- Packages may not exceed 130 inches in combined length and girth.
- All packages must be sent via the U.S. Postal System.
- All packages must have a GREEN customs form attached. *Customs Form 2976 or 2976-A
- Firearms, alcohol, perishable items & certain hazardous items.
