We do not use SAL, Parcel Post or Surface shipments because of numerous problems we've experienced with all these methods, very slow shipments and parcels not arriving at all. Those problem shipments caused a lot of back and forth emails, frustration and anxiety for our customers and us. As a result, we now only ship Air Mail or EMS. EMS has shipment tracking in English and insurance included in the cost.
About The Cost Of Shipping From Japan
There are no hidden charges for shipping. We purposely include a stated shipping charge in the description on the auction page so that everyone will know in advance of bidding what the shipping cost will be.
There are 3 factors which go into our shipping charges
1. the cost of Japanese airmail or EMS postage as determined by weight, 2. the cost of packaging materials, and 3. the cost for the time it takes for a person to securely pack the items and take the package to the post office. We charge the same airmail shipping cost to most locations worldwide.
We always combine shipping for multiple winnings in order to lower the total cost of postage.
On some items of higher quality, we require EMS shipping for safety reasons. And, we have shipping limitations to some countries which are always noted on the auction page
Estimated Shipping Time From Japan Via Airmail
7 to 10 business days to the United States, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Other countries 2 to 3 weeks.
Via EMS - Less than 7 business days to the United States, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Other countries 1 to 2 weeks.
Shipping Note 1: Sometimes packages are delayed in customs and as a result, shipping time may be longer than the estimated.
Shipping Note 2: Rural destinations always take longer shipping times.
Shipping Note 3: Shipping the following day that payment is received (except Sat and Sun).
Shipping Note 4: A confirmation of shipment emailed to the buyer the day of mailing.
About Packaging The Auction Item For Shipment
We intentionally take extra care in packaging the items we send to our auction customers. The items have to travel a long distance and we want to make every effort possible to ensure that they arrive safely, undamaged, for your enjoyment.
