From tole painting and stenciling to stained glass, fusing, and lampworking, I've been creating artistic pieces since the early 1980's. My passion now centers on creating glass beads for jewelry. I never cease to be amazed at the multitude of colors that can be created each time glass is passed through a flame (and yes, it is true that sometimes frit just happens! :-) ).
My studio is SLOWLY nearing completion and in the meantime I continue to take over more and more of our home to use as a workshop (maybe my husband will take the hint and work faster!!). *update* DH must have read this.....I'm actually working in my new studio. Not all my supplies have been moved out, that will take a while as I'm going through and cleaning out some things as I do this. But I can play with fire out there!!!!
In addition to selling on E Bay, I also sell some of my jewelry at a local glass store and have some shows scheduled for this fall. In order to expand and continue to improve my skills, I have taken classes with several nationally know teachers, including Kate Fowle-Meleney. You can see her influence in my electroformed and painted beads. What a great person and teacher she is! I recently was able to take a class with Corina. What a fantastic experience!! Recently I've been privileged to attend classes with Jim Smircich, Brad Pearson, Jennifer Geldard, Stephanie Sercich, and Tink Martin.
Since I create whatever I sell, I am determined to maintain high standards and provide quality service. I am a Self-Representing Artist!
