I have been sewing animals since I was a girl. I started by using felt, making Christmas ornaments.
I made my first polar bear, who had on ice skates and a stringer of fish, when I was in grade school. I have since gone on to use mohair, the traditional fabric used by early bear makers. I enjoy dying and distressing fabrics, and giving my bears and creatures special touches by using vintage things, such as bits of lace, discarded photographs, tiny things a child rescues from walkways!
I am honored to have my bears and folk art in the collection of world famous bear artists Christy Firmage & Deb Canham,
The Teddy Bear Museum of Japan, and many collectors. My bears have been featured in the Teddy Bears of
Witney Catalog. I owe many thanks to the collectors who adopt my bear children.

All Creatures Great and Small

I love them all! We have 2 horses, 2 rescue dogs, 3 cats, a snake and all the wild migratory birds love our farmstead, as does the Kingfisher. A pond we made is a toad nursery and fish haven, and the wild birds love drinking and bathing in the waterfall.
I also feed the wild birds that frequent our farm, named Kingfisher Farm after our frequent guest.
