The Kirk Collection was established in 1987 when Nancy and her late husband, Bill, started to deal in antique quilts and later, antique fabrics. Nancy began restoring quilts and started a series of Quilt Restoration Workshops in Omaha which continue today. She also started the Crazy Quilt Society and the Quilt Preservation Society, part of the non-profit Quilt Heritage Foundation. For the past three years the Foundation sponsored the American Spirit Quilt Project, and exhibit of 9/11 quilts, and is now planning the tour of Crazy Cups, a tour of crazy quilted bras to raise funds for the Crazy Quilt Society Scholarship fund and the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Nancy has written an e-book on Collecting Antique Quilts which includes several chapters on buying and selling antique quilts. We are providing a free excerpt from the book for our eBay customers here: Download our free guide to buying quilts on eBay by clicking here: Free eBay Quilt Buying Guide While you are visiting our site, take time to look around.
