A lot of folks I have met here on ebay have ask me how I came up with my id name Kobychicken. And yet I sell Antiques and Roses. Well here it goes>>Koby is the name of my first born grandchild. He was only an infant when I started buying on ebay. So we were standing in my kitchen one day and I said... I have to think of an id for ebay. At the time I was holding Koby in my arms. I said ...hummm...it has to be Koby something. I looked at Koby and he was staring at the wall . When I followed his eyes he was looking at a 25 year old collection of vintage roosters we had. At the time you could see no wall..just roosters. So, I laughed and said Kobyrooster...No...I didnt like it.. Then I said..Kobychicken..That was it! It stuck...now Koby is almost 5 years old. When I talk to him I often call him Kobychicken... But, he says " I'm NOT Kobychicken...I'm Kobyspiderman! lol..I just am not interested in that all. Although I could have changed my id a long time ago...I just can't let Kobychicken...oppps spiderman...go. Maybe one day..when he is twenty-one!

Well since then I have had more grandchildren ....alot more. After Koby came Christopher,Kyle,Kaylee,Marshall,Kolton and last but not least! Emorie Sue..named after me.hehe... I love being a grandmother! Koby,Kyle and Kolton now live far from me in beautiful Beaufort, S.Carolina. There daddy is a Marine stationed there. (Way to far from Texas)

The precious little girl in the picture is my first grand daughter Kaylee. She is kinda close to her memaw. So guess what...I am teaching her to paint! Kaylee was born with optic nerve hypoplashia. Don't worry I had never heard of it either till now. She is extremely vision impaired and mostly sees very close up. There is no known cause and no known cure and no, glasses dont help.So, needless to say, we spend alot of time together. She is 22 months old at the time of this picture. She loves to watch me paint and loves to look on ebay and loves my roses..lol...she says ..ooo...pretty!

Enough about the grandkids...gosh!

How about me...

Well I have been married to Larry now for 25 years.
We have known each other and been friends since we were 14. So, you need to know this..important.. When I auction my one of a kind handpainted roses...and I say things like...I based painted in sage green, crispy white, robins blue... and all that stuff...Well, true credit goes to Larry...I base paint very little...I mostly do the roses only because he don't know how. So all the make ready and sweating and priming and painting credit goes to him...All the roses I paint while watching T V go to me.

I am a self taught artist and have now been painting over a year..yippee! Everything so far has been free handed. I don't have the patience for tracing..lol...it might look better if I did. Antiques are an interest for both Larry and I. Thats what we love and have been doing for 25 years. Flea markets, estate and yard sales. We love them..And antique malls in the winter!

By now you have to be tired of reading about me and my busy family. So I will wrap up with this...
