Paul Bachem is a graduate of the Stevenson Academy of Traditional Painting, NY and has enjoyed a 30+ year illustration career. He has worked for clients in New York City, across the country and as far away as Sydney, Australia. A partial list of clients includes Scholastic Inc., Simon and Schuster, Ballantine Books, Field and Stream magazine, numerous advertising agencies and The Pleasant Company, makers of the American Girl line of products.
Over the past few years he has been devoting his time to painting landscapes on site. His painting "Northport Harbor" was named "Best In Show" at the first annual Northport Plein Air Event. His painting "Wild Sweet William" was chosen for inclusion in the Top 40 in the Greenwich Workshop Gallery's "Small Works North America" Exhibition and Sale. This painting will be published as a print and will be included in the Greenwich Workshop Spring 2008 catalog. Paul was also the featured artist in "Informed Collector" magazine in April of 2009.
Aside from painting Paul enjoys playing classical guitar and chess. Of the two he is considered to be a very skilled painter!
