Thanks to all my years of having to scrape by making things & canning, my children now 21 & 23 & 26 would much rather have homemade gifts & canned goods most of the time anyway.  They always show there friends or come up with ideas of things for me to make & sell.  It's finding the time.

In 1994 I remarried; which he died right after we bought our first home in 1998.  That put me right back where I started so many years ago but now a house payment to meet.  Needless to say I started my crafting back this time advancing to doing shows & shipshewana.  I went & got my GED in 2000, went to college for 2 years, cause I new something had to change this round to survive. 

  Then as usual it happens;  I was baking for Meijers the 1 stop shopping store.  I was lifting 50# bags all the time & pulled my neck shoulder & back, or so I thought.  Come to find out All those years of hanging bolts of apolstery material & 50# bags of flour & such had caught up with me.  

  My neck & shoulder muscles are being smashed into my arthritic neck, my lower back has no cushinings from all the years of hard labor; so it's bone against bone.  Hey if your a gal that wants to make better than minimum wage you had to do the heavier jobs. 

  So Kraftys Treasures came back to life.  Now I'm in Windsor, Canada trying to make it a go.  It's slow but it's getting there.  Crystals & visions owner stopped at one of my garage sales ; they seen my goose clothes & thought they were childrens clkothing till I told them other wise.  Now they have taken in my geese wardrobe & are selling them in there store here in Windsor & taking them on the road here in Canada starting at the end of this month (March) 2006.  they also of course want me to start a childrens line of clothing.  In time I will. 

  I do find it hard to pass anything up that can be crafted into anything.  I have so many projects I want to acomplish with little time to cover them all.  I just got a weaving machine.  I love Indian stuff too.  I want to learn to paint the donna dew berry way, I want to get back to my wood working, & start my dog clothes & accessories line.  I've been invited back to be in the Oktoberfest festival in Michigan City, but will see if I can swing it. 

   Keep an eye out for my stuff,  you never know whats going to pop up.  I just got my hands on a whole skid of plaster molds.  Some I want to use for cement molds as soon as I find out what to use for a releaser.  I want to do it all, I love learning new & interesting things.  But I'll never give my line of goose clothes & such up.  Where theres a Will theres a way.  I've survived this long & accomplished many things & its time for Kraftys Treasures to come to life & stay.  I take pride in everything I make & I'm a little bit of a profectionist.  Ok a big profectionist.   But My work reflects back on me.  If your going to do it; then do it right or don't do it at all is my moto.  will be setting up a web site soon!
