I am a full time wife since 1985 of a hard-workin' man who keeps the water running and is always on call. I'm the full time homeschooling mom (since '89) of two teenaged sons. I'm also the delegated keeper of one very demanding poodle since 2004 who follows every step I take.
Life at our house is always busy! I've had diabetes since 1975, so that's basically my whole life. I used to take up to seven injections of insulin a day just trying to keep my blood sugar at the right level. Not. Fun.
In 2004 I got my first insulin pump and my diabetic stuff is all lots better than it has ever been in all these thirty-some years! But I do have quite a few complications and other physical problems due to 1} inheriting lovely arthritic and tendonitic (huh?) genes and 2} having a near-death reaction to a sulfa drug back in 1994. All the tissue inside my eyelids blistered, the soles of my feet peeled off, most of my hair fell out, my back was a mess because of the blistering, the roof of my mouth came out in shreds -- twice.... anyhow... I went through a real mess like nothing I'd experienced before or since. And it left me with several weird medical thingies. (like constant sand-eye syndrome i made that up due to all the scarring, etc) annnd 3) turning 40, I guess!?? nah, diabetics develop cataracts lots earlier and I already have some nice ones cookin' up. I hate it! I have to use those dorky on-the-end-of-your-nose readers to see tiny stuff up close. *sheesh!* It just makes it harder for me to do a lot of the stuff I used to find effortless in the reading department because I get killer headaches, too. Wouldn't ya know it? But I can get up in the morning and I can hear my kids speaking to me...I can see them and I have all the things that I need so really?? I'm too blessed to be stressed. :) Life is full of challenges, but I have the strength I need for each one.
So annnyway... all that to say, I love communicating with folks I buy from and usually don't complete the transaction (unless it's a BuyItNow) til I hear from the seller. I guess I've just been burned a few too many times. *shrug* And I would love to do the same with my buyers. That said, normally, I'll email you within a day or two after the close of the auction to let you know how soon I can ship, etc. BUT sometimes my body doesn't wanna cooperate. Some days I can barely get out of bed. Those days are lots fewer and farther in between than they used to be these days, but they still happen. So when they do, I will still try to let you know, but please be patient with me. In most cases, I can still get your item packed and send it to be shipped with my son or husband, it just may take one or two days longer than normal.
I really, REALLY appreciate your consideration and look forward to doing business with you!
God bless you!
