Back to previous page  A day on the river is a day added to my life. As a kid I grew up on the edge of a small city with farm land and small streams as my back yard. I learnt to poach trout and had many happy days in the outdoors. In my teenage years I was like may young people, I loved the 'party life'. However I took it to excess, never knowing when to stop. Luckily my life turned to total crap, losing everything I had to my addictions. I was able to turn my life around with the help of many people. One of the key facets that improved my life was returning to the outdoors, finding solitude and serenity in the beautiful back county of the South Island of NZ. Fly Fishing is my passion. I was also blessed with many other gifts and the end result is this humble fly fishing store. I often thought that I was being ripped off when buying fly tying supplys and consumerbles. I initially sourced a small range of items for my friends and myself. It has grown to the degree where I have decided to continually expand the range of products I stock. Everything I sell, I use. I do not sell junk. The objective of this store is to provide other people obsessed with fly fishing, competitively priced products. My reward is the ability to go fly fishing whenever I want, not worrying if I should be at work or if I can afford to fill the truck with another tank of diesel. I love fishing in the South Island of NZ. God has gifted me a beautiful country. I hope to leave it in a better state than it was when I entered the world. I pray that my Grandchildren and thiers will receive the same pleasure as I do. I am active in lobbying politically for water purity and I will continue to fight water abstraction. I have an interest in access for all people to any river. I am against private waters. Should anyone be visiting my area, drop me a line.
