Lady Aethelwyne

Greetings to all, I am Lady Aethelwyne of Greenhill Cottage in East Tennessee.

 I have been a member of Ebay for 9 years now. When I started out, I was a senior at Tennessee Wesleyan College and I would look at Ebay between classes to find Jem dolls and 80's Barbies and other 80's memorabilia. Back then, I was known as Jemgirl1. After a couple of years, I had all the Jems I wanted (except the elusive Danse) and my interest in Barbie dolls started to wane, so I decided to change my name.

 Around that time, The Fellowship of the Ring came out, and suddenly the whole world knew about these wonderful books I discovered at age 13 by J.R.R. Tolkien. Along with the movies came a treasure horde of figures and swords and costumes and photos and jewelry and so much more! That is when I changed my ebay name to my hobbit name, Lady Aethelwyne ("friend of the elves").

My life changed as well.  I was in my 30's and graduated from college and started my career as a pharmacy technician and bought my first home. My sister and brothers got married and started having kids. My life became about gardening, my nieces and nephews, home improvement, and the worlds I inhabited in books and movies. On ebay, I started to buy things for my nieces and nephews and discovered American Girl dolls, which fueled my passion for history. I also became a bit obsessed with Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter and Scottish and English collectables and Renaissance costumes.

Now, I have a home overflowing with the bounty of almost 10 years of ebaying. With my interests in Barbie and Harry Potter waning somewhat, I've turned to selling some of my goodies. Though I'll still buy the occasional American Girl or Lord of the Rings "must have" when the need arises!
