In 2004 Roberta Beyer realized her dream of starting a birding store. She has loved birds since she was a fledgling and joined the Audubon Society at the age of eight. Her mother nicknamed her "Bobolink" and that was the name of Roberta's first store. Since then Roberta has started a second store called "The Fat Finch." Besides carrying essentials for bird feeding and bird watching, Roberta takes great pride in finding interesting and beautiful gifts all with birds and nature as the theme. Our goal with this store is not only to offer you a place to shop, but also to share our love of birds with you.

We combine shipping
If you purchase multiple items from us, we are happy to combine shipping costs. Please wait to pay until we send you an invoice so that we can calculate the best rate for you. Shipping Method
We usually send items by the US Postal Service or FedEx, depending on weight. A postage calculator is included in our auctions so that you can determine cost of shipping. If you have a particular need regarding shipping, just contact us and let us know. We ship items usually 24-48 hours from the time of payment. For international shipments, if the shipping calculator does not give you a cost, please contact us for shipping costs.
We hope that you will be completely satisfied with your purchase. We know that purchasing items online, where you do not have an opportunity to see and touch the real thing, can make shopping a bit more difficult. Please remember too, if you are purchasing a bird feeder or bird house, that it can often take up to six weeks for birds to find or get used to a new feeder. Please contact us for tips and guidelines on bird feeders and how to create an inviting environment so that your birds will enjoy any new feeders you introduce into your yard. We understand that occasionally the purchased item may not be exactly what you thought it might be. In that case, please contact us or call 1-800-889-1659 for a return authorization and return the item for a full refund of the purchase price within the return period. We accept returns within 30 days of order shipment. Items must be returned in original condition. We cannot reimburse you for return shipping and insurance unless the item you received was defective or damaged during shipment. If your item arrives damaged we would appreciate it if you could save the packaging materials until we can work with the shipper on a claim.
