Nothing kills a deere like a Magnum. ~ ABOUT ME ~ I used to hate it when my dad wanted me to take him to this field and then to that one. "Don't go anywhere because I need you to take me to get the tractor..." Boy that got old. When I was a teenager I swore to my grandmother that I would never marry a farmer. So what do I do?? Of course...marry a farmer. I must say that I wouldn't have it any other way. My husband and I have been happily married for 12 years now. My grandmother reminds me quite frequently what I told her so many years ago. My husband and I have 2 children, an 11 year old daugher and an 8 year old son. My husband and I run a farm equipment repair shop. He does all the repair work and I take care of the salvage parts. We have done the repair work full time since 2001, although my husband was working at it part time for several years before that, and added the salvage parts in 2005. YES I do tear down my own tractors. A couple of months ago a gentleman came into my shop and watched me work for a minute or 2 and told me I was "wierd". Wierd or not I do enjoy what I do. Since I began tearing apart tractors I have learned so much and the more I do, the more I love it! (Now putting them back together is a whole other story!) This job has enabled me to stay at home with my kids, go on field trips, and help out at their school occasionally. We also farm around 200 acres of corn, soybeans, and wheat.
