Lady Hawke Gems ~ Your One Stop Jewelry Shop

22K YG SNAKE NECKLACE WITH PERSIAN TURQUOISE

I truly strive to be "Your One Stop Jewelry Shop"

I thoroughly enjoy searching for the most beautiful, out of the ordinary, yet affordable pieces of jewelry for my customers.  Whether it be estate, vintage or new jewelry I try to cater to the tastes of my customers.

If you are a new customer-to-be and you're looking for something in particular or a special combination of gemstones, please let me know.  I once found a very specific ring that a man had been searching for for 10 years, and I found one for him in about 2 days.

If you are looking for something, please e-mail me the specifics with as much information as you can to Rita at, LadyHawke7777@gmail.com

I will get back to you as soon as possible, especially if I have any additional questions about your request.

HANDCRAFTED YG FIRE AGATE PENDANT ~ SOLD

My Favorite gemstones are Tourmaline, Citrine, Tsavorite, Opal, and Real Fire Agate.

I do appreciate the Precious Gemstones; Diamonds, Sapphires, Rubies and Emeralds ~ Don't get me wrong! In fact, I have quite a few of each for sale. :)  If you'd like to see other items I have for sale, go to my website: http://www.goantiques.com/members/ladyhawkegems.  I've been purchasing estate & vintage jewelry for over 20 years.  It first began as a "hobby" to add to my own jewelry collection.  Then, about 10 years ago some of those pieces came to the attention of a well-known jewelry store owner in Rancho Sante Fe, CA.

While in her store one day, I happened to be wearing an antique 22k Yellow Gold Segmented "Snake" Necklace, with a Solid Gold Head embedded with Large Cabochons of Persian Turquoise.  The Snake also has an attached "Tongue" with more Persian Turquoise Cabochons. In addition, on the reverse side of the Head is a "window" with an actual piece of snakeskin.  (Photo #1)

At the same time, I was wearing my Padparadscha Sapphire and Diamond Ring that I used to wear to work practically every day.  The center Padparadscha Pear-Shaped Sapphire is stunning and weighs about 2.5 carats, it is surrounded by Round Brilliant Diamonds and those are all surrounded by Blue Sapphire Baguettes.  The first "jeweler" I took it to for an appraisal called to tell me that he needed to order more acids in order to test my ring.  That is when I knew there was something special about my ring.   Even after that, he said he couldn't tell me for certain what it was.  He thought it was a Padparadscha, but he'd never seen one, especially that size.  I took it to the GIA in Carlsbad, which is about 10 minutes from me.  They did the appraisal on the ring for me and it just about knocked my socks off.  I purchased this ring, just from seeing photos of it for $115 and it's Insurance Replacement Value is $10,250 (as of 2002).

The jewelry store owner who had taken notice of my jewelry, started taking me with her to "her auctions" (a.k.a. way out of my league!).  She took me on as her apprentice and was allowing me to pick out items for the "lower priced items".  That was quite a "rush"!

I use that same kind of insight into purchasing all the jewelry that I purchase, whether it be for myself or for you my customers!!

The second photo is of a REAL Fire Agate Pendant that has been sold!  If you see something advertised on eBay as Fire Agate that doesn't look anything like this, then report it to eBay, because it is NOT Fire Agate.  It is called Crab Agate and the Asian Importers have been flooding our market with this crap for the last 5 years or so.  I've been trying to get eBay to shut them down, what with their new "jewelry policy"!  HAH!!  That only means if it doesn't mean turning on someone that is bringing in huge $$ from outside the dwindling US $$.   I feel like I've been on a single woman rampage against both Sellers & Buyers of this.  ** If you would like more information about the Fire Agate subject, please feel free to contact me. **
