Lady Phaedra's Dreams

Lady Phaedra's Dreams and Shabee Stitches are both the brain-child and the handworkings of the same person--ME! Lady Phaedra began as a dream, hence the name. Several years ago I went to Salem, Mass for a vacation and while I was there I wandered into a clothing store and spent several hours there talking with and watching a woman spending her days making the items she sold in her shop. She specialized in Renaissance and Reproduction clothing.

Having spent quite a bit of time in the Theatre Department at Rhode Island College, I already had exposure to costumes and the costuming process. Coupled with years of sewing experience and business taxation work, an idea was born! It took a while, but finally the opportunity to begin my grand experiment came. I started with a business partner, but that didn't work out at all well and so I began anew-solo and in new locations.

Our photo features in Modern Bride and West Coast Decorating has been wonderful exposure for us-the orders are starting to roll in and I can't keep up!!

Shabee Stitches

Lady Phaedra has long been the place where I sell my excess fabrics and some costumes-mostly sample pieces or unfulfilled orders. Occasionally, I will sell a piece that was a brain-storm--a sample, if you will. Excess trims, laces and other pieces are also sold. Lady Phaedra sells exclusively on Ebay.

Legendary Stitches of Time specializes in antique linens, monogrammed linen and vintage textiles selected for both the home decorator and the serious collector.

The Legendary Stitches Collection includes vintage and antique napkins, monogrammed linen, tablecloths, towels, shams and pillowcases, sheets, pillows, hankies, doilies, table runners and lace and Victorian and vintage cottage styles. Collectors of antique lace will be enchanted with our growing selection of fine hand made lace from around the world as well as domesticly. We update our listings often with items from our large inventory. All of our pieces are offered ready for use or display in your home.

Our newest venture, Shabee Stitches, offers a selection of beautifully appointed wedding accessories such as ring pillows, garters, glove bags and other bridal luxuries, many of which have been made from our antique linens and laces. All have been trimmed with one of a kind trims and the finest crystals, pearls, ribbons and other beadwork, both new and antique. Each is a unique, original work of art.
