Welcome to my ME page...where you'll learn a little about me, my policies and goals.

First let me say I don't want to mislead anyone into thinking I am Native American because of my eBay name and the jewelry I design.  I have, since a child, loved Native American work in all forms. I chose the name Lakota for the wolf I sponsored from the Sawtooth Wolf Pack back in 1996. (the 429 is a secret :o) I had been following his life since he was just a pup. Unfortunately he passed away in 2002, but his memory still remains. I am a big animal-lover, also.

OK....back to business.....I became hooked on eBay back in 2005. (I can thank my son for that!) I first started out buying and then decided to put some long, lost talents to work and started creating jewelry.  I've now turned it into a part-time business selling online, jewelry parties and craft shows.

When I was young, an aunt and uncle of mine moved to Sedona, AZ. They opened a jewelry store which offered genuine Indian jewelry.  I was fortunate enough to travel with my parents to visit many times from here in MI.  This was so new to me and quickly piqued my interest (in the west and N.A. jewelry).  I took a couple of jewelry courses in school.  After graduating, I put my jewelry on hold to start a family.  Years and years later, and now a gorgeous grand daughter in the picture, I decided to start beading.  (My grand daughter -now 4- looooves to help me pick and choose beads while I'm designing!) I still have many pieces of genuine N. A. jewelry from my aunt and uncle and someday hope to make more intricate designs such as  this.

My designs are Native American, Southwest and earth-tone themed.  I use 92.5% Sterling Silver components in all of my pieces. (Occasionally silver-plate. It will be noted in the description.)  Yet most of my silver beads are Hill Tribe beads which are created completely by hand in the remote mountain region of Thailand. These are made of a higher purity than 92.5% stering silver.  Because the actual range is 95%-99% purity, these beads are softer, have a whiter color and will not tarnish as readily as sterling silver.

A while back, a couple of dear friends of mine, (one, a well-known Spiritual Healer, Reiki & Karuna Master who has been recognized by many world-known healers, and the other, a Reikie Practitioner still studying) had asked if I'd consider making Chakra jewelry.  I decided to give it a try and it has been a lot of fun.  Working with gemstones is my passion and learning the metaphysical aspects of each has certainly been an exciting journey.

I take much pride and care in each piece.  I enjoy experimenting with different designs, colors and stones.  I especially like the Native American Fetishes; you will see many of these in my pieces.
