My name is Lana Roos.  I am a wife, mother of a baby boy and a true believer of “Chemical free is best”.  

I have been concerned about the widespread use of artificial ingredients and unnecessary chemicals in every aspect of our lives for some years, but even more so since the birth of our child.  When I saw how perfectly untouched and pure he was, I made up my mind to keep him as close as possible to that state.  

This meant reviewing my consumer choices and even though I considered myself an educated shopper, I was surprised to see how much room for improvement lay in my fight against chemicals.

Besides the obvious products such as baby lotions, nappy change creams and baby soaps, I had to revisit the ingredients lists of my laundry detergent, dishwashing products, general cleaning products and personal hygiene products, only to find some truely disturbing ingredients.  After thorough research into the majority of these ingredients, I came to a list of products which I believe to be over used, unproven as safe and totally unnecessary, as perfectly natural alternatives are available.  As a result, I started, slowly but surely, eradicating those ingredients from our home.

To my surprise my husband’s troubled skin and my sinus problems improved and I was sure it would only translate into many more improvements in health and general living for us.  I believe we have control over our health and wellbeing if we only choose to take note of what we consume.  With all the new information and constant research results we have access to now, we have no excuses for unhealthy choices.  Of course these changes can not be made overnight, but I believe that one step at a time makes a difference and an improvement is as good as a win!

I decided that I would love to empower others by supplying information and products that will go some way in improving the health and wellbeing of themselves and those they care about.  What a great feeling it is to buy a product, not because you were mindlessly picking something off a shelf, or driven to it by advertising, but because you did your research and are sure that you made a great choice for yourself and your family because you looked at the product in details and made an informed decision.
