Hello, and thanks for stopping by to visit my "me" information page.  My name is J. Elaine Hays and I live in Tennessee with my husband, son, and a cat named Norman.  I've been painting professionally for over twenty years now, and during that time I've taught adult and chidren's watercolor classes and have won awards for my work.   

My favorite subject is landscapes.  And a lot of my work comes from memories of nostalgic days gone by... like my grandma's wash hanging out on the line, happy days spent on my aunt's farm, and driving along scenic country lanes in the Northeast where I grew up. 

I also love to paint a variety of other subjects.... all kinds of Florals (I'm an avid gardener) as well as seascapes, still life, and wildlife...especially butterflies!

For the past several years I've been offering my art on Ebay I've thoroughly enjoyed every single minute of it!  And I've met so many wonderful buyers, sellers, and fellow artists here.  It's simply been great!
