Who is this Lara person
anyway? I am a thirty-something year old costume and wardrobe person from New York City and a member of the Theatrical Wardrobe Union Local #764, I.A.T.S.E. I have been collecting and sewing things related to historic costume since childhood despite my Parents claim that "no-one makes any money playing with costumes". Most of my work has focused around Film lately but I have many years of experience working with Theatre, TV and Print media as well. By nature, my film and TV work comes and goes frequently allowing me time to run my small business on the side. I seem to have a dangerous weakness for yard sales, flea markets and E-Bay. (I am working on the whole self control thing). I collect (and covet): Antique corsets (pre-1915), anything related to antique corsets, period patterns (especially the early 1900s & 1930's!), Antique lace, fabrics, trims, period garments, costume history books and periodicals, and unusual antique keys. Lara's absolute favorite escape from reality is to travel and scuba dive Oh, and I love animals. Especially big mushy dogs and chubby red cats! |
