I am a high school counselor who enjoys working with not only youth but people in general. I used to volunteer at a juvenile prison where I learned about the effects of youth being exposed to violence and poverty at an early age. These young men taught me how to better connect with "at-risk" high school students and inspired me to be a "bridge" for those who struggle in life. This has been my personal calling. My husband works as a business analyst and is the creator of the artwork/designs.
In our personal life, we enjoy traveling and learning about other cultures. Whatever spare time we have, we enjoy watching independent and foreign films, attending theatre performances, listening to authors at the Los Angeles Public library, going to see alternative bands (Ozomatli, Quetzal, Lila Downs, Julia Fordham, Chris Pierce, Nailah), going hiking and camping, reading books and spiritual development.
