Yes, I know well my Laurel pottery. Have a file drawer on info on them -once thought I'd write "the book". (I am published in others' books.) I have researched studied my ceramic dinnerwares USA/California 1934-1962 focus on solid and speckled glazed products, with heavy emphasis on Laurel of California (Stockton) and related potteries, also on obscure lines or 'patterns'. Also know way too much trivia about U.S. small kitchen appliences, especially electric stand cake mixers and have a ridiculous collection of those. How do we define insanity?
Well I'm not looney when I wear my seller's hat. When I sell I pack for success. I sell/sold (I had an online store but closed it, now only do occasional eBay sales) pottery and mixers and NEVER had ANYTHING break. You are in good hands with me, as I am ernest in efforts to satisfy and do right by you. I thoroughly observe items, scrutinize for possible flaw, or test for workability, (i.e w/ appliances), before listing them. If anything I probably err in overmentioning minutiae. And I keep tidy records, well cross referenced.
When I buy I try to communicate fully and expect sellers to GIVE as much trust as they demand, and to pack well. Else please delcine me. (Too often sellers expect me to send them money with no reassurances whatsoever; items have then occasionally shown up badly packed, broken then,insult to injury, same sellers neglect the situation or worse, accuse me somehow cause of the fault ...so anymore I now expect more from sellers regarding reassurances and willingness to take the time to pack excellently!) I often am willing to pay extra for good packing. I know what it entails. If you deal with me know I have high standards; Selling I give full service all the way through my transactions, and I do expect the same in return!... IF you sell to me please understand that I insist on adequate communication and reasonable follow through. I AM ESPECIALLY FOND OF ESTABLISHING INFORMAL FRIENDLY BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS and DEVELOPING TRUST for repeat transactions. I love working with sellers who take interest looking for what I collect. I create orderly wish lists of specific pieces sought which include price ranges I'll pay, and can email one or more of them to you. I do pay promptly.
I am NOT on line very much, (I rather prefer doing other things say in the sunshine) so there are often a lags or delays in communication.
