LeAnne's Eclectic Attic Me...at a Razorback game Me again... My name is LeAnne Yates and once upon a time, I was an accountant. Since the economy has hit a bump I found myself, for the first time in my almost 40 years, unemployed without a lot of options. Since I am a widowed single mother, I decided to get creative and start my own business. After all, to be honest, I went into accounting not to be an accountant, but to have the ability to own any business I wanted...and be able to handle the books if necessary. So what an awesome opportunity...EBAY!!! Like a lot of teenagers, I started out my working career in retail so many years ago. I have managed a jewelry store, a news stand/store, and a book store. I also have prior business ownership experience...I toyed with MLM for awhile and had my own successful jewelry business, a health products business, and I have owned my own tax business for the last 16 years. After getting my degree in Accounting, I moved up the corporate ladder and have been the head of accounting for several different businesses in a variety of industries. My favorite, by far, is the hospitality industry. The soap box that I continuously climb involves customer service. I am a HUGE advocate of customer service but I just don't think it exists to the level it used to. Because of this, I will make the following commitment to my customers: 1. I will always describe my items to the best of my ability and list any imperfections that I am aware of. 2. I usually take an excessive amount of pictures as reference. Please take time to peruse these pictures as they are part of the description...and you may pick up on something I missed. 3. I do try to clean up the background of my pictures with a photo editor (crop, frame, etc), but I NEVER edit the item itself. 4. Because I do make every effort to represent each item I sell accurately; if you ever receive an item that has been misrepresented, I will be happy to refund the purchase price upon receiving the item back in the same condition as I sent it out in. 5. I will package every item to the best of my ability in order to ensure its safe arrival to you. However, I cannot be held responsible for items that are damaged or lost in transit. For this reason, I do offer optional insurance on most things. For VERY breakable items (usually glass household items) I do require insurance, so it will be included in the shipping and handling fees. For items being shipped outside the US, you have to upgrade to Priority in order to purchase insurance. I will do my best to offer you all of the shipping options available to you. 6. I prefer paypal payments because I truly feel like this is the safest option for you. However, I will be happy to accept a money order in lieu of paypal...I will cash it immediately upon receipt and mail your package out in the same trip. Please let me know if you need to use this payment option so I will be on the look out for it. 7. I will always respond to your questions quickly. Always within 24 hours but usually, unless I am on the road, within the hour. Please do not write me and ask me to go against Ebay policies. Again, this is my full time business, and I certainly don't need Ebay mad at me :) 8. When an item closes out, I will send you an invoice within 24 hours, but again, it will generally be within the hour...I work at this business 24 hours a day. 9. If you win 2 or more items from my auctions that are closing out in the same week, I will be happy to ship them together and combine shipping. If the items are not closing on the same day, please send me a note and let me know that you are waiting to see if you win additional items, that way I can wait to invoice you for both items at the same time (with reduced shipping fees). 10. I ship EVERYTHING within 3 business days of receiving cleared payment. A little secret though...if you pay me immediately when the auction ends, I feel guilty if I don't ship out the very next day (most of my auctions end very late at night as a courtesy to the West coast folks). 11. I will never try to make a profit off of shipping. Since my auctions are almost always no reserve, I charge the actual shipping cost (as close as I can determine) plus a small handling fee (to cover the packaging etc) of $2.00. I charge an additional $1.00 to international customers because of the additional paperwork required. I am getting pretty accurate with these charges, but if I ever make a mistake (and I have once) and over charge, I will not hesitate to credit the money back to you through paypal without you even requesting it. I do occasionally offer free domestic shipping on my higher valued items. 12. I will always leave feedback for you immediately after I have shipped your package. 13. I do not have a pet and smoke free home...however, I freshly launder everything before it goes out the door...unless otherwise indicated (ie knives...I don't generally clean them because I am not an expert and do not want to risk damaging them or something like coins that lose their value if cleaned), I will make sure everything is as close to new condition as possible before it leaves my possession. And finally... 14. If you have any issues with a purchase, please let me know prior to submitting negative feedback. I will work with you to find an amicable solution. I see people list this all the time, and honestly, I have even been warned by my Postal Store owner that she sells on ebay and she has been scammed by so many people on Ebay...but to be honest, I have been doing this for 2 months now full time, and I have dealt with the nicest people...all over the world! I have yet to have a non-payment or any other kind of scary issue you hear about. Not one. The only issues have been brought up, dealt with, and I think everyone (including me) has been very satisfied! Thanks to all of you for being so wonderful!! I promise you, knowing your satisfied with your purchase and that you would buy again from me is worth way more to me than positive feedback...however feedback is important to any business owner...please fill out the feedback form once you receive your purchase.
