THIS IS MY HOBBIE-----BIRDS & CREATING FUN ENVIROMENTS FOR THEM

HI--I,VE ALWAYS LOVED WILDLIFE AND HAVE HAD PETS--LAST YEAR BEFORE WE MOVED I HAD OVER 100 DIFFERENT BIRDS IN MY AVIARY WHICH I MUST SAY WAS STATE OF THE ART----RUNNING WATER ---NATURAL SURROUNDINGS FOR EACH SPIECIES----ALL THEIR NESTS WERE MADE NATURALLY BY THE BIRDS....BUT SINCE THE MOVE I,VE DOWNSIDED TO 17 BIRDS IN 7 DIFFERENT CAGES...I'VE ALWAYS DISLIKED NORMAL PERCHES SO I STARTED MAKING MY OWN--BIRDS NEED  TO EXERCISE SO I DON'T KEEP TOO MANY IN EACH CAGE ,I ALSO MAKE MY PERCHES SO THEY ARE DIFFERENT SIZES IN WIDTH SO THAT THE BIRDS FEET GET EXERCISE...ON SOME I ATTACH SAND PAPER SO THEIR NAILS DO NOT GET TOO LONG....I ALSO LIKE DIFFERENT SHAPES IF FOR NOTHING ELSE LOOKS...THE ARTIST IN ME..I USE DRIFTWOOD BECAUSE IT GIVES ME GREAT SHAPES AND FOR SOME REASON MY PARAKEETS LOVE TO GNAW AT IT WHICH IN TURN IS GOOD FOR THE BEAKS....I HAVE PARAKEETS AND A VARIETY OF FINCHES..I'VE MADE PERCHES AS LONG AS 8 FEET AND AS ROUND AS 5 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THIS IS NOT MY JOB BUT A HOBBIE AND THAT IS WHY I SELL THEM SO LOW....CHECK WITH YOUR VET TO SEE WHAT TYPE BEST FIT YOUR NEEDS....AND JUST HAVE FUN WITH IT......DAVID
