ZIG ZAG MUSIC OF BROOKLYN NEW YORK Located at the same location in Brooklyn N.Y. for over 30 years. Providing the music loving consumer an alternate to large chain stores we always focused on the hard to find, collectible aspect of buying and selling music and related merchandise. Although "CLASSIC ROCK" was always the main focus of the store the 1980's saw "ZIG ZAG" turn it's attention to the "HEAVY METAL" scene hosting many band "IN-STORE" appearances. This was usually tied in with a local club called "L'AMOURS where many of these bands would later perform. Amongst the many bands to appear here were: Motorhead, Twisted Sister, Girlschool, The Rods, Venom, Zebra, Nuclear Assault, Raven, King Diamond, Mercyful Fate and IRON MAIDEN which is one of the few that was VIDEOTAPED!!! An interesting side note is at the VENOM instore METALLICA was opening up for them and was present but nobody really knew who they were!......For those of you who lived in the New York area you may remember the old WNEW-FM radio station. Every Friday afternoon pioneering Disc Jockey "SCOTT MUNI" would host a show called "BRITISH THINGS" where he would play new and soon to be released tracks from the U.K. and Europe. It was us for many years who supplied him with these "IMPORT RECORDS" which became a staple of his show. I am always looking to add new and interesting items to my ebay auctions. Every once in awhile I will add a wondeful gem from my own personal collection...mmm...still debating on that John Lennon autograph and WHO Metropolitan Opera House poster...so keep watching my items!!!...and if your looking for something you don't see you can always send me an email...Thanks for looking!!!
