A Little About Me
Thanks for dropping by and for your interest in
Georgie Girl Design! My name is
Leigh Anne,
and I am the owner and artist behind Georgie Girl Design.
I live in Tallassee, a small town in central
Alabama,
with my husband, Michael, and two amazing children, Georgia Anne and Jack.
I am an
interior designer by profession. I
went to the
University of
Alabama to undergraduate and graduate school.
As an interior design major, the curriculum included a background in the
arts. For as long as I can remember,
art and creating has been a passion of mine.
When I was pregnant with my first child, I painted a few paintings for
her nursery. Soon friends begin to
ask me to paint things for their little ones, and in August of 2006 I began
selling my paintings on eBay. I have
found selling through eBay a very convenient way to work while at home with my
children.
My husband and I own and operate an AM/FM radio
station, WTLS, in Tallassee.
The AM
is proud to have been on the air since 1954, and the FM came on-air in 2007!
We focus on community programming and just this past year won the Alabama
Broadcasters Association Radio Station of the Year award.
My favorite past-time is probably photography.
Thank goodness for my new “big daddy” digital camera.
It holds more than 500 pictures and is usually filled to
capacity within a week.
My grandmother laughs and tells everyone I take
beautiful, professional photographs of my only subjects, Georgia Anne and Jack!
