Welcome to my About Me page! I am a Glass Artist living in Edgewater, MD. I have been obsessed with glass as an art medium for the last 20 years. I have taken numerous classes in fusing and lampworking. 3 years ago, I quit my day job (running a Cancer Research lab) to make art full time (see my work at www.smithdesigns.org). After 3 years of developing my glass style and discovering my glass palatte, I have ended up with a lot of glass that I will never use. I have had some of this glass for almost 15 years and it dates back to when I first started fusing. A lot of it made the trip from California to MD with me. I know from years of experience that glass is one of the most expensive media that one can work with and even buying holesalefrom Retail stores is an expensive proposition. I now buy my glass directly from Bullseye and Ed Hoy's. I want to pass on to you the savings that purchasing directly from the manufacturer provides. So buy my glass and start fusing at reasonable prices!!! In addition to Bullseye sheet glass, I will also be selling Bullseye scrap glass and CBS dichroic scraps by the pound for use in fusing or mosaics. I also have some Wasser glass. I have some Bullseye Ring Mottles for the stained glass art enthusiast. I have lots of effetre or moretti rods which I am no longer using so those will be available as well. My glass prices will be just slightly above Bullseye factory pricing to cover drop shipping and handlingbut when you compare my prices with those of online retailers such as Delphi or even your local glass supplier, mine will be much cheaper. I plan to sandblast etch dichroic and irid glass with my own patterns in the near future and these pieces will be for sale to use in your own art. Keep an eye on my storeI promise exciting products at reasonable prices!
I primarily ship using priority mail through the United States Post office. Ups shipping is also available.
