In the past, I was sold on the idea that it was okay to "borrow" for your future. I got this false idea from studying information put out by Ray Reynolds in his "Incorporating You" courses and seminars. The basic gist was that you could incorporate, build corporate credit and if your business failed that you could just bankrupt your corp. and start over with no personal liability. This amounts to stealing and recently through discoveries I have made through the study of Scientology and ethics, I have decided for myself that that kind of stealing and similar types of business practices are not only wrong but are also detrimental to the survival of everyone concerned.
I had thought that one could "rob Peter to pay Paul" and that that would be okay, as long as you "earned" enough out of it to eventually catch up. I NOW realize that that isn't the way one survives in this world and that the higher your ideals are and the more you can stick to those ideals, the better it is for all concerned.
One survives to the degree that he produces in abundance, and exchanges in abundance to his fellows, his customers and to life in general around him.
eBay and its founder, Pierre Omidya, set out to create a community based on fundamental values. It is my goal to adhere to those values and to conduct my business(es) in the most ethical manner that I can.
I apologize to anyone whom I may have hurt in the past through unethical business practices and I vow to make up for my past misdeeds in any way that I possibly can.
I am posting this testament here in this public forum despite any danger it could cause for me and my business because I feel it is the right thing to do and it is my sincere hope that others may benefit from my realizations.
