In 1993 Lynne & Lowell Stanshine designed & crafted several decorative switchplates for their daughters, Lisa & Sheree's new apartment.
We wanted to add some instant art to help the girls begin the decorating process. When the apartment looked quite beautiful, they threw a moving-in party.
Because Lisa worked for a major metropolitan hospital & Sheree worked for a large company that helped adults with disabilities... the party was quite big... Besides the compliments about the apartment - it seemed as though the decorative switchplates were a hit... Dozens of people wanted to buy some switchplates... and so Keepsakes was born.
Over the years, we have worked hard to improve the quality of our products, always thinking about the themes & colors people need for specific rooms or color schemes. We value our positive feedback for excellent service - and try to accommodate some unusual requests.
Lynne & Lowell love designing coordinating mix 'n match switchplates - 1 with a theme (antique fountain pens) and 1 with the background (without the theme).
We now have over 27 configurations - toggles, rockers, outlets, doubles, triples, combinations of hole patterns (toggle/toggle/outlet)... etc.
Because each switchplate is handcrafted, we are able to offer all quantities needed... We're glad to increase the quantity in listings when requested... also batching a set of mixed large orders in 1 listing for our customers convenience... with FREE SHIPPING.
KEEPSAKES became more than just a side-line as time went by... it actually became a dream come true for the Stanshines... our love of art & our experience as designers was a perfect fit.
