LITTLE BEAR CANOE COMPANY IS A SMALL ONE MAN SHOP. EVERY THING I BUILD IS HANDCRAFTED, AND IS BUILT IN OUR SMALL CANOE SHOP IN NORTHERN MAINE. WE START WITH THE RAW WOOD, THEN MILL OUT THE CHERRY GUNWALES, DECKS, THWARTS, STEMS, ANDHAND-CANE THE SEATS. FOR THE CANOE HULL, WE MILL OUT THE FINEST NORTHERN WHITE CEDAR FOR RIBS AND PLANKING. WE HAND-SELECT HIGH- QUALITY MATERIALS, DESIGN WITH CARE AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND TO YOUR SPECIFICATIONS. WE USE PAIN STAKING CRAFTMANSHIP AND PLAIN, OLD FASHIONED LOVING CARE.
