About Little Green Men
I started Little Green Men in the Fall of 2004 as a viable alternative to the big chain toy stores and smaller supposed education-based toy stores for those looking for good, old-fashioned army men. It's almost impossible to find plastic soldiers in stores these days, and you can almost forget about finding many of the vehicles and tanks to complement them. Many of the toys I sell have been made for years - I grew up playing with ones out of the same molds in the early 1970's. Somehow times have changed, though, and playing with army men is looked down on these days by many. I, like most boys in the '60's and '70's, grew up playing with army men. Last time I checked, my generation hasn't provided more than it's fair share of criminals and degenerates. Why army men have been pushed out of stores, while violence-based action figures have thrived, is kind of a mystery to me. At least if a child plays with army men, they might get interested in learning about history and the actual events that helped create modern society, instead of idolizing a Japanese anime cartoon.

A little information about me - I am a stay at home Dad with three young children. I ended my employment as a mechanical engineer in the summer of 2004 to make the transition into elementary school a little easier, both for my kids and my wife and I. We were not big on doing more daycare and the logistical nightmare that was encroaching on us. I also didn't like the idea of turning 90% of my paychecks over to someone else to kind of keep track of my kids. So we decided to take a step back, make life a lot less stressful, and enjoy spending a lot more time with the kids. That said, the goal is to have Little Green Men make up a little of the lost income and make it all possible. So I'm no longer providing component designs to the likes of Trane, Lennox, and Rheem, but I take what I'm doing now just as seriously. And Little Green Men has an added benefit - it's awfully nice to hear how the plastic soldiers you shipped out made a little boy so happy on his birthday. Check out the store - it will bring back some childhood memories..... http://stores.ebay.com/littlegreenmen
