First I'll explain our choice of "longdogs " for our user id, I've had many emails asking what its about, We have a longhaired miniture dachshund , his name is Kirby and he's about 15 1/2 yrs. old now, until March of 2008 of we had another longhaired dachshund too, his name was Murphy, he passed away from heart failure March 15, 2 days shy of his 13th birthday. We chose longdogs as our user id on ebay as our "tribute" to our 2 longhaired doxieboys who have gave/given Ron and I and 2 kids { are grown now! } much happiness!
I suppose technically we are really " longdog " now, not longdogs, but , we'll keep longdogs!, After all , we had our user id this long { pardon the pun ! } and we'll just hang onto it . .
We have been selling { and buying } on ebay since July of 98', coming up quickly on 11 years. We think we do a good job of describing antiques and collectables to the best of our abilities, We try to put in as many photos as nessasary, So please look at the photos, we consider the photographs as a good part of the item description.
If you are a little late paying, thats no big deal, but an email is appreciated to tell us.
I can't leave non paying bidders negatives anymore since ebay changed the feedback rules in May of 08', but I can , have , and will continue to file disputes and get that unpaid buyer an unpaid item strike and to BLOCK any bidder who does not pay us. If buyers pay us thats all we expect from them! And we'll do our best to get your paid for package to you as soon as we possibly can. I TRY to email all buyers the day or day after Ron ships then the item. Sometimes I am at work or just not around to do that, but --- I will try to give notification of package sent to buyer MOST of the time.
I also try to leave feedback the day or following day after Ron sends the buyers packages. We feel that is a good policy.
One you have the item , IF you feel we've done a good job and don't mind taking a minute to leave feedback for us , we'll sure appreciate it. We do appreciate your business.
We estimated shipping cost and do charge a little extra for packing materials and fees. We think we are fair and reasonable where shipping is concerned. If estimate higher than a few bucks we've been known to refund in the package. it doesn't happen often, because , as I said its what we consider fair. Let us know if its an issue and we'll discuss it with you. .
Concerning paypal. WE DO NOW ACCEPT PAYPAL, EBAY implemented new rules concerning forms of payment which are accepted BY ebay /paypal
Traditionally, we were into a check and money order accepted type of payment for the buyer . But that said ----- let us know if its a problem and we'll see what we can do between us the seller and you the buyer to remedy any payment issues / questions / concerns. .
FINALLY!!! , I wanted to say this, in our nearly 11 years on ebay we have had terrific buyers in most every case, no fooling . Probably 99.8 % terrific folks to deal with. The same goes for our selling --- dare I say "junk" since 68'!! , we;ve had 99.8% or better good people to deal with, So, thanks to all those "good people" out there. ! We certainly appreciate your business!
And by the way, some of this junk looks darn good to us. Which is why we both have many collections too.
But thats another story! I've already gone on far too long, exspecially seeing as I'm a 2 fingered typist!
I am adding this paragraph on Nov. 9th 2008. Wow! Ever since ebay changed feedback rules and buyers can't get a negative no matter how many sellers they never pay , we have had a very big increase in non paying buyers. This has cost us lots of time ,money, aggravation and worry. PLEASE do not bid if you don't intend to pay for the item you bid on.
I am adding the following paragraph on May 18 2009.
PS ALL NON PAYING BIDDERS < I FILE Non Payer bidder alerts with ebay, and I block non paying problem bidders from future buying with us. This need not happen!
Thats all folks!!!
Best wishes, Karen & Ron.
