In 1776, the Juan Bautista de Anza expedition, traveling from Mexico to establish a mission in San Francisco, made settlement on Los Gatos Creek, near what is now HWY 17, in the vicinity of Lark Avenue.
The name "Los Gatos" was inspired by the large number of mountain lions in the surrounding Santa Cruz mountains. Los Gatos literally translates to, The Cats.
Then, in 1998, I moved from neighboring San Jose and nestled into Los Gatos, California. And Los Gatos Collectibles has been a ferocious business ever since.
