I was blessed with my first grandchild on January 16th, 2007 (he is Ralph's 18th....wow!)
His name is Cody and he is just as cute as can be. I never knew being a grandparent could be so wonderful.

Here is a picture of Cody watching his grandpa, Ralph, sewing on a Singer 401A sewing machine we recently sold.
He is so infatuated with everything to do with sewing machines.
He sits real still and watches every move that Ralph makes.
Cody is "inspecting" the sample cloth grandpa sewed on (haha).
The two of them make a pretty good team:)

WOW ~ How time flies.
Cody is now one year old and he has already
"graduated" to working on sewing machines (haha:)).
He is still very interested in them and enjoys watching Ralph.

Dear Ralph & Brenda, Got it yesterday, and tested it today. After I finally figured out what I'd done wrong to keep the tension from working out (there are *two* holes in that first thread guide, and you have to go through both!! Couldn't tell that in the illustration, and missed it in the instructions... sigh), I started a test piece that would eventually equal the usual final thicknesses of my bags... It was great! Even with just the regular foot instead of the Walking Foot, it sailed through two layers of medium weight twill, plus one layer of med quilt padding, then four layers of medium weight upholstery fabric, plus four layers of heavy taffeta, adding two more layers of medium upholstery fabric, then two layers of strapping and then a fold over for four layers of strapping... all together 17 layers of stuff! It was smooth, quiet and easy to handle. I am very, very pleased! Thanks guys! You are up for great feedback as soon as I can post it! Thanks again! Sarah

Hi Guys. Got the machine Friday afternoon. Played with it on Saturday and got totally frustrated. My wife played with it agian this morning and got it "dialed in". We have since completed 2 boat cusion covers... face, boxing, and welt cord. They look beautiful. The machine is awesome... will take some practice. But what a great investment! Thanks. The machine arrived yesterday, the 29th. Wonderful job packing! The machine looks fantastic. I've done nothing more than plug it in and work the presser foot a bit, but so far am very pleased with it. Hope to spend some time with it this weekend. As an ebay seller myself, I appreciate your attention to detail, and the way you handle all aspects of the sale. We will be using this machine for light leather and webbing sewing. My two hide wholesalers say this is a good machine to have.
