Growing up in a rural area of northern Ohio, where gardening was a way of life, gave me a deep appreciation for nature.  During the long, cold winters, in order to would ward-off "cabin fever", I learned to sew, crochet, knit, and any other needlework or craft that was available back then.  Fortinately, from this background came the passions that I still pursue today!

I used these skills while my husband, Tom and I raised our three children.  I sewed much of their clothing, continued to do needlework for craft fairs, and Tom and I gardened together, enjoying the longer growing season, here in Cincinnati.  My love of gardening and flowers led me to owning and operating a flower shop for fourteen years.  I would still be doing that except something better came along -GRANDCHILDREN!!  Knowing how quickly they would grow up,  I retired to enjoy some of their early childhood years.  When I wasn't ice skating, visiting parks and playgrounds, or swimming with them, I was growing and pressing garden flowers, or out collecting vintage linens.

Finding decorative handwork on vintage linens just makes my day!  So many pieces are thrown away, when a good soaking or a little mending can restore it's beauty for still another generation.  These are some of the items I hope to share with you.

I have been doing pressed flower pictures for years, and now am combining them with vintage fabric and lace in vintage frames.  I also arrange them in vintage vanity trays, jewelry boxes, Christmas ornaments, and anything else I can find that will hold them and show off nature's brilliance.  WHAT FUN!
