Past Tense offers everything from gifts and home decor to antiques and collectibles. We also offer seasonal specials for every holiday. Our family owned business was founded in 1970, and is currently taking strides toward the future by opening our new eBay store!

We started as a strictly road based antique dealer showing in more than 7 states and 42 shows. Our success started growing and we decided to escape the life on the road and open up a shop at our 1836 farm. Our notoriety as a reputable and trustworthy antique and home decor dealer quickly spread to the point that we had to open a new building featuring more dor, a floral shop and offering statuary for the home and garden.
At the same time with all of our retail sales we have an apple orchard. We started out strictly selling apples and small quantities of cider. Because the process of making cider was so time consuming and laborious, we opened up a cider mill with a separate cider processing division.
Our most recent additions include a Tea House, which is where some of our family used to live, and a Pizzaria with top end gourmet pizza. Past tense is also an official Michigan destination, so if you are ever in Michigan, be sure to visit us!
Hard work, determination and living by the golden rule has built our family business from the ground up. And we still believe that treating our customers the same as we would like to be treated is the foundation for our successful business.
