How Lucy's Pocket Got it's Name!
As a child, my favorite books were by Beatrix Potter- lush illustrations combined with wonderful stories and whimsical characters. But my favorite story by far was that of The Tale of Mrs. Tiggywinkle. In the story, a forgetful little girl named Lucy loses three pocket handkins (hand-kerchiefs) and a pinny (pinafore) and goes looking for them. She comes across a hedgehog laundress, Mrs. Tiggywinkle, who finds them and returns the items to Lucy.
