Thanks for taking the time to look at this page. Please take a moment to read
about who I am and why I sell items here on ebay. It may help you make a
decision to bid on some of my items. I mostly sell vintage lunchboxes and
thermos's, however every now and again I have a little something extra from my
grandma's closet. As a kid growing up I always found all the good stuff, you
were't supposed to touch, in her closet. I also will sell items for friends and family. So be sure to look at my misc. items for other great finds.
This store was started after over two years of successful Ebay auction sales
which brought me to Ebay Power Seller status!!! I ran my store for several years, before my health took a down turn and I closed it. I am now getting back to health and re-vamping my store!
Despite my store name, I am not an old grey haired grandmother. I am in my 30s
and the mother of 5 children, 2 step children. I have 3 boys ages 16 - Josh, 10-
Evan and 6- Ryan and four girls ages 14- Malysa, 13- Hannah and 12- Kaylee, and
4- Avalon "Ava".
My 14 year old daughter is a heart transplant patient. When she was 5 months
old she developed a virus that attacked her heart causing cardiomyopathy and
caused her to go into heart failure. She had a heart transplant when she was 2
years old, in 1998, after waiting for 2 years. In the past 9 years she has had
a very complicated history. Which is what led me to selling items here on ebay.
My daughter became very ill in the winter of 2002. I had a lot of collectible
items and started selling them on ebay to help pay for some of the extra high
bills. I found that lunchboxes sold very well and quickly. I later came into a
large collection of lunchboxes and thermoses and opened my store. Proceeds from
my sales help my family with many of the extra ordinary expenses. We have
become very close with my daughters donor family and see both sides of a tragic
story. Both the donor mother and I speak out on behalf of organ donation and
have done several magazine articles and public appearances. Please feel free to learn more about my
daughter and her donor family at these pages
More recently our family struggles have increased. I, at the age of 34,
suffered a massive heart attack. I have spent the better part of the past year
recovering and re-setting my goals. My life expectancy has been drastically
cut. I now spend every moment I can with my family on adventures. Seeing what
we can of the world. I no longer say no to invites, when I can easily say yes. I decided to come back to selling items, as I
had SOOO many items that are useful to so many people just stored. I can’t take
it with me and I’m not using them myself.
I am a lunchbox collector myself and have been for about 10 years. My
collections started when my husband and I first got together and in moved The
Partridge Family lunchbox. I thought it was so cute that my husband had his
original childhood lunchbox that I decided I should find a Pigs in Space
lunchbox, like I used to carry, to sit next to his. Once I found that I found
so many others that really interested me and I became hooked. I have since my illness lessened my
collections. I need more time and more space for myself and my family.
As with many collectors, I did not only collect lunchboxes. I also had / have a
large collections of vintage Disney items, tins items, tea sets, jack in the
boxes, and many other vintage pre-WWII items. These items will also be listed
for sale.
I have a
diverse collection of all styles of lunchboxes and thermoses including plastic
and vinyl. However, my collection is thinned and I will be focusing on selling
the replacement parts for these items.
I have collected lunchboxes from all over the world, not just the
U.S.A. made or
sold. My knowledge of lunchboxes and thermoses is vast as I have done a lot of
research. I can answer most any question related to both even down to which
part you need to find if something is missing.
I have been lucky enough to talk with some of the countries foremost
"boxers" whose collections you see in the price guides... They are
great people and if I don't know the answer to your question, they just might!!
If you have any questions please email me.
I buy, sell, and trade lunchboxes. I buy some boxes strictly for re-sale if the
price is right, especially rare and hard to find items. I do not attempt to
hide this fact. Most every seller I know on ebay does the same, we find pieces
that people are not bidding on, we research them once we get them, we clean
them evaluate them and later re-list them. Being that lunchbox sellers deal in
a collectible item, buyers must be aware that we purchased them at one point,
regardless of when that point was. Even private sellers who are selling their
private collections once purchased items at a lower price and are now
re-selling them.
I also buy and sell boxes for other buyers who have limited to no internet
access, or just like my store and my reputation. There are several great
lunchbox sellers here on ebay and I hope that you find that I am one of them.
Check out some of the other Lunchbox Stores on ebay and the web. You will
clearly see that my items are VERY reasonably priced based on condition and
rarity. I also accept fair offers on most all my items.
I am proud that my previous store had 60% of my sales are from repetitive
customers!!! I have a great long standing reputation that I hope to rebuild!
If you are new to my items, please read my policies (link at top of any listing
page) as it answers a lot of FAQ there.
Thanks for checking out my store!!!
Your business is truly appreciated!!!
