My rating system is

M=mint (M- is the most typical usage meaning item shows signs of very little use),

E=excellent (light surface wear and maybe one or two small scratches. May have a couple of small worn areas (more for E-)),

V=Very Good (some scratches and wear, but still has decent sound, average to slightly above average graying of grooves),

G=good (worn, playable, but really for a must have, significant graying with blasting).

I do not sell records in poor condition unless they are very rare.

NOTE: My rating system does not include the condition of the label. That is why I include a picture of the label. If one side of a label is grossly different than the one pictured, I will mention that in the description, but I still will not account for that in the grading. Please review my feedback to see what other record buyers have said about my grading. Sleeves do not get grades but condition issues will always be mentioned to the best of my ability.

All items are VISUALLY graded. If something is present to indicate a problem I will play grade through the trouble areas and mention something about it in the notes after the grade. Some records may be noted as "Needs Cleaning". We do a general wipe of each record but do not do a complete cleaning, as many different users prefer their own method of cleaning.

Packaging Procedure

Shipping is generally done the weekend after invoicing. The items typically ship on Monday if you pay for your items by Saturday. We may need an extra day since we are in a town with a very small Post Office with weird hours.

We have a fantastic track record for shipping these items.

We ship our records in appropriately sized boxes. Your items are sleeved and then sandwiched between 2 pieces of cardboard which are taped together. The items are then surrounded in peanuts in their appropriate box.

We generally use 12 X 12 X 4 and 12 X 12 X 6 boxes (larger dimensions for larger records).

We still use Pizza style boxes for Edison Diamond Discs. We typically do not use pizza mailers for 78s unless it is absolutely necessary. 45's & LP's are shipped in folding mailers with spare cardboard and bubble wrap. LPs are removed from the outer sleeve and 45s in picture sleeves are removed during shipping to prevent splits.

We have a 99% success rate shipping via this method. It generally proves effective and efficient. We realize there are better methods in some opinions but none of the other methods are practical for our volume of sales. We are always willing to accommodate your shipping method requests but we ask that you pay for the extra materials and time it takes to ship via your method. We therefor ask that you pay an additional $5.00 Handling & Materials fee. Please also note that using a bigger box or things like double boxing will also change the amount of the USPS Shipping charge since the weight of the package will change. We're happy to do this for you for very little compensation but we ask that you request and pay for the service in advance.

 We have been selling items on ebay since 1999 and we have focused primarily on 78RPM records and phonograph related items over the past 10 years.

We have shipped over 20,000 78RPM records all over the world. We are proud of our quality of product and service, as well as our shipping procedures which yield us a feedback rating of 99.8% positive feedback rating and a 99.5% intact delivery rating.

What records do we offer????

 We have a wonderful selection of records ranging from early 1 sided records like Victor Monarchs and Columbia Silver Rings all the way up to 1950's era records including odd blues labels. We typically offer a wider variety of early records, but we are expanding to offer later records as well.

Where did the name Lutonium come from?

 This ebay thing started because my wife loves Pluto (not the planet, but the dog). During a backpage edit the "P" in Plutonium was accidentally deleted, leaving us with Lutonium. Rather than change the name and get a sneaky little pair of sunglasses, we left everything alone. On a recent record buying trip to Syracuse, New York, I identified myself as lutonium records and was recognized by name and congratulated on the auctions having sound clips. It was then I decided that the name should stay.

The PLUTO section

 In case you haven't noticed I LOVE PLUTO! Everyone I know is aware of this too--so they try to give me Pluto "Gifts". Most of the time I ALREADY HAVE IT. But, I am so glad they are looking out for me because SOMETIMES I do get something I DON'T have. My MOM had this duplicate trouble for a while--until she discovered ebay. All of a sudden she was getting me all kinds of neat Pluto things that I had never seen before! Well, practically a year after she told me where she was getting these things I logged on. Long story Short--she has to check my bidder list to make sure I'm not bidding on things she already got for me!!! SOOOOO, this leads to me deciding to part with some of my Pluto DUPLICATES so someone else can enjoy them too. Sometimes I have to buy a WHOLE SET of the OTHER stars to get my Pluto so I am parting with them too--All are Mint--since I never took them out of the boxes. (Go Back and "view seller's other autions") I also am parting with other toys and such that are put away doing no good in a box so that someone who bids on ebay can have a chance to find something they love. (Plus, I have to make up for the $$$$ I spent in my first month as a bidder!!) I love ebay because you know that the person who wins the bid really will cherish that item--I KNOW I DO with each and every PLUTO BID I win! ebay="The Collector's Paradise" =) ENJOY!
