Hello and welcome to my About Me page.
My name is Irene and I am lucky enough to live with my family in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges here in Melbourne.
Since leaving full time employment to raise a pair of energetic boys I have made time to finally work on my passions for beautiful old fabrics and all sorts of vintage things. I have been Ebaying for about 18 months now and the learning curve is still on the up side!
I have always enjoyed working with my hands so despite training in art education I find I am most comfortable being able to create things that have texture and beauty as well as practical uses. My favourite thing at present is to revamp the old 1960's swirly metal chairs to 'RE~VINTAGE' (hence the store name) them and to give them another life life using pretty as well as vintage fabrics. I let the fabrics dictate what they should be and how they are to be re-used. I am amassing a wonderful collection of beautiful Vintage Fabrics
I also love making soft furnishing items. I will give most things a go. I am always thinking of ways and things to create but my time is very limited with my two beautiful boys so it always takes me a long time to realise actual finished things. So when I list something that I have made be sure it was a long time on the drawing board in my head!
