My happy face
|
I'm retired and started selling stamps on EBay with my personal collection. When I ran out of stamps I started going crazy. It was such fun. "What do I do now?" Well you guessed It I was addicted and I couldn't just give it up. So I started buying and reselling. Is it profitable? Probably not. But I'm learning, and I may have reached the point where my time Is netting me minimum wage. My strategy is relatively simple. Buy large collections, break them down and resell. I try to be honest. I offer refunds Including shipping for, any reason. And try to describe my stamps accurately. It sort of unnerves me the way most sellers operate. Starting prices, reserve bids etc. "How does anyone get a good deal?" I start everything @ a penny with no reserve. I get burned occasionally, but I think it all evens out. If I was younger and saw auctions Iike mine, I'd bid on every stamp I needed and wait for one to fall through the cracks. I'm having fun, and I'd like to think there are some philatelists who appreciate my efforts to be honest and offer some bargains. My feedback as of this writing Is 100% so maybe I'm doing something right.
