ATTENTION: I am leaving ebay. Why? Because ebay allows the sale of live cats and dogs on thier Chinese site. While these animals are being presented as pets the truth is that they are being sold for thier fur and they are being inhumanely kept until such time as they are stripped of it, oftentimes being skinned alive. This is beyond disgusting, but anything for a buck right? I choose to no longer be a part of this and that is why I am taking my listing fees and the %5 of my sales that ebay normally robs me of to a more crafter/designer friendly site: ETSY!. You can find my clothing and other stuff there or you can visit the links below:
If you are interested in where Lux Dilemma (soon to be Girl is Poison) is heading I highly recommend signing up for the mailing list here.
For more information about ebay's role in slaughtering animals you can check out this link. Although PETA has been known to mislead people in the past the information contained on this page is pretty accurate, however the video (which is really graphic by the way) may or may not be depicting the treatment of animals that were actually bought or sold on ebay. It is just a general video they posted to give you an idea of how animals are treated in China. The Chinese governemnt's attitude toward animals is VERY different than the U.S. government's and that of most of it's citizens. But, Ebay is still an American company and should not be allowing this even if they could care less about the cruelty. They should at least be made to respect U.S. law. But I guess that's a whole other kettle of big business funded political fish. :P
Bye bye Ebay you filthy, corporate swine! Hope your CEOs crash the super yahts they bought with thier ill-gotten millions!
