There is nothing like taking an old piece of fabric that was
maybe once an old drapery curtain hanging in someone's home years
ago, and making something beautiful out of it, I love the fact that
I'm recycling these old textiles and giving them a new life, made into
something different to be enjoyed for many more years. The home decor
items you will see me have listed are mainly pillows. I also make~
blankets, tote bags, cloth rugs, potholders, sachets, and aprons
that you will see listed as well. These I make using vintage textiles
from the 1920's to the 1950's, mixed with high quality newer fabrics
too. My very favorite being the 1940's. I love the romantic florals
they used back then in the old barkcloth,along with the old chenille
bedspreads. My personnel favorites are barkcloth, chenille, and
ticking the best, I call these fabrics my comfort fabrics, kind of
like how some call mashed potatoes a comfort food, I think certain
fabrics are the same way, the way they feel & look they do have that
comforting feeling having them around you : ) I do love making these
items to offer you! & take a lot of pride in my workmanship & designs.
