Only quality items for auction

Items for Sale:

1. All items I sell on eBay are carefully inspected prior to being listed. If there are defects, I list them to the best of my ability. I am very knowledgeable about most things I list and therefore know more about what should be there than some other sellers. As with all items, I may miss a little thing or two on an item. I cannot be an expert on all items. If you see something broken, missing or wrong, and I don't mention it in the description, please contact me. You will not only help me, but other interested buyers. Please take the item description and condition into account when bidding.
2. I invite you to do research on my items by brand name or through other websites on the Internet. If you see an error, please point it out and I will make the correction.
3. My items will start at either $.99, $9.99 or sometimes higher depending on what it is. My sale or reserve price is what I will sell the item at, please do not ask me to remove or lower it.
4. I will generally only post one picture of an item, if you need more, please ask. If the item hasn't been packed for shipment, I can probably send you another photo or two.
5. If in the rare instance I make a mistake in the listing, the item will be ended as soon as possible. If there happens to be a bid, I will communicate with the high bidder the error in the listing and that person can ascertain as to if they want to continue the transaction or not.

Bidding:

1. Please bid only if you can pay for the items using the payment methods in the auction. Unless you have contacted me and I say you are allowed to pay me another way.
2. International bidders please contact me first prior to bidding. I will generally allow your bid however shipping costs will probably be higher and I only accept Paypal payments from you. I will accept bids from friends of the United States!  I will not ship to some locations due to world situations, customs, security problems, etc.
3. This sounds so simple but, only bid if you can pay in a timely fashion. For Paypal transactions, I consider four days a fair timeframe. If you are mailing payment, it should be in my hands within 8 days.
4. Once you bid on an item, it is a contract.
5. I will not accept any offer to buy an item outside of eBay, this is a violation of eBay's policies. If you missed a listing and you want an item, you may ask me to list it again. If a person asks, I will list the item again for them, but I will only do this once.
6. I will cancel any bids that appear to be bid shilling or unfaithful bids. If in the rare case we have crossed paths before and our experience has not been good, please ask first and let me know your bid is in good faith. If you have lots of negative feedback, please do not bid on my items.
7. If anyone who is bidding on my items threatens me, harasses me or insults me in any way during the course of the auction, I will cancel your bid and report you to eBay.

Auction Questions:

1. Please ask all questions within a timely fashion. Since I am working most of the day, I would say ask all questions at least 24 hours prior to auction close. You can ask within the last day, but you may or may not get an answer before the auction closes.
2. I retired and vacation a lot. Please do not be alarmed if you do not hear from me right away, I try to respond to all questions before my auctions close.
3. Be specific with questions, I can't help you with the item if your question is not specific about the item.
4. A question that is already answered in the description will not be answered. It is your job as a buyer to read the listing.

Payment:

1. For payment I accept the following payment methods: money order, cashiers check, cash and Paypal for almost all items. Depending on the type of transaction, I may not accept Paypal due to the fees or eBay policies. Please read the item carefully. If you must pay with Paypal and it not listed as a payment form, contact me and it can be discussed.
2. The faster you get payment to me, the faster I can ship your item. Paypal items (when I accept Paypal) will ship out the next day. Money orders, cashiers check, cash payments, your items will ship out after your payment is received in the mail. Keep in mind when mailing payment, a check will take time to clear as well.
3. If bidding on more than one item, please hold payment so you can get a combined shipping total and save some money.
4. Payment is required in a timely manner. If you use Paypal, 5 days. If you mail in payment, 10 days.
5. I DO take personal checks, if you have 100% positive feedback.
6. International Bidders-You must pay me via Paypal. It is the only payment form I will accept from another country. Thank you!

Shipping:

1. I use the United States Postal Service to ship lightweight items. Most heavier items will be shipped via UPS as they offer insurance and will pickup.
2. My shipping costs cover not only postage, but the materials needed to ship the item. This may include but is not limited to filler material, boxes, envelopes, bubble wrap and packing tape. I keep shipping costs to the minimum, guaranteed.
3. Item will not ship until payment is cleared (Paypal E-Check). If you pay by Paypal E-Check, please remember it takes about 3-4 days for the E-Check to clear.
4. I ship Monday through Friday and sometimes on Saturdays. I do the best I can to get your item out as soon as possible. I try to ship every day, however, there will be times where I cannot. This is not a business, please be patient. I try to get items out as quickly as possible.
5. Items will be shipped usually 1 to 2 days after payment is received. I may ship items out ahead of time if I on vacation, know I will not be home, and you have excellent feedback. Larger items may take longer to pack and ship.
6. For shipping I use heavy duty boxes and heavy duty envelopes for smaller items. Posters get shipped in tubes. I use plenty of filler of various materials and am an excellent packer. Nothing should get broken in these boxes. Please do not be alarmed if you get a reused box! I believe in recycling them until they cannot be used!
7. Insurance is offered on every item shipped by UPS!
8. Insurance is approximately $2.00 extra depending on the item and its value if shipped by mail and is totally optional. I recommend you purchase insurance, not to cover damageut to cover loss. My experience with the USPS has not been a very satisfactory one and I DO NOT TRUST THEM.  VERY IMPORTANT: If you do not purchase insurance, I will not accept a return nor be responsible for an item damaged in shipment! For some items, insurance will be a MUST!
9. If an item is damaged in shipment, and you purchased insurance, I will do what I can to help you file a claim. However, I cannot be responsible for the decision the post office makes in your case.
10. I use sturdy boxes, filler material and my items are packed to arrive to you undamaged. However, as I have said before, I cannot be responsible for what the postal service or UPS does to items during shipment.
11. My shipping costs are very good estimates to what an item will actually cost to be shipped. But in some cases, a person slightly overpays or underpays. If a person for example pays $6.00 shipping and it comes to $5.00, the extra money is used for tape, filler, boxes when needed, etc. If you underpay, I will pay the difference out of my pocket, you will not owe me more money.
12. I ship the speed closest to actual cost. It will either be First Class, Parcel Post or Priority Mail, UPS Ground or UPS blue, depending on what you paid for and the weight of the package. You may request me, after the auction closes, to ship Priority Mail if you need the package quickly or by mail, but I will have to raise shipping cost to cover it.
13. I will combine shipping where possible on multiple purchases, but sometimes it is not possible. For example, an airplane model and lighthouse cookie jar would have to be shipped separately. Two model cars in boxes, they can be shipped together. In the case of a combined shipment, I will give you a combined shipping charge during the checkout process.
14. Please Read! Parcel post shipments are secondary to Priority Mail and take time to get to you. This seems to be especially true to the Southeastern U.S. and Western U.S. I've been told Parcel Post shipments can take up to 14 days to get to the West Coast. Be patient.
15. International Shipping will be handled as follows: I will get exact shipping costs on the item before you pay for the item. I will add my packing/materials cost and a small handling fee. Then I will send you the invoice to complete payment. This way you do not pay any more than actual shipping costs.

Returns:

1. My policy is simple, no returns or refunds are given. My auctions end with the sale being final. This is not a store. In most cases, I only have one of each item. I do not have the time to deal with returns or exchanges. My sales are final. Bid carefully is the advice I give here.
2. There are no returns/refunds given for any item damaged in shipment. Reasons for this are simple. Insurance is offered and there to protect your item if you want it. Secondly, there is no way for me to tell how the post office treated the package or you treated the package. Once the item leaves my hand, it is not my responsibility but that of the shipping service. If there is a problem, I suggest it is taken up with them.
3. If in the rare case I make a mistake in a listing and the listing has been completed, I will contact the buyer, explain the situation and will offer a refund or to mutually end the transaction. However, the decision will be left to the buyer. If the buyer would like to keep the item or discuss a reduction in selling price due to the error, I am happy to do that. According to eBay policy, the buyer must receive the item when the listing has ended. However, I am fair and honest and if I make a mistake, I think it is only the right thing to do to explain to the person the problem and offer them the chance to change their mind.

Miscellaneous:

1. I feel my policies are easy to follow and I am easy to get along with. I'm here to sell to you and provide honest descriptions of products. I will not respond to any kind of threats, negative emails, or harassment of any kind. You will also be reported to eBay as such behavior is not positive for the eBay community.
2. As long as you pay on time and treat me with respect, I will leave positive feedback. Your feedback comment is there to do with as you wish. If you feel you have honestly been cheated by me or misled by me then I suggest you contact me by email to resolve any issue you might have, before leaving feedback. I believe my feedback speaks for itself.
3. I leave feedback both as a buyer and as a seller.  As a seller I leave feedback after I receive payment and as a buyer I leave feedback after I receive the item purchased.
