With the new eBay detailed seller ratings...I'd like to take a moment to explain some things. Sorry for being long-winded, but I feel these points are important! :)

The first rating "item as described" ~ if you feel you cannot leave a full five stars for this, please let me know! I try very hard to accurately describe each auction listed and point out any problems I may see. Everyone's perception of excellent, perfect, mint, good, etc is different so if you have ANY questions, please ask!

The second rating "communication" ~ every auction winner will receive an email indicating his/her payment has been received and his/her package is shipping on specified date via method of carrier. If you paid via paypal and I ship USPS, you will also receive a notice from paypal indicating your purchase has been shipped and giving you a delivery confirmation number. I believe communication is VERY important when dealing with internet sales...you don't know me from Adam, so I want you to trust and have faith that your item truly exists and will arrive at your home shortly after you pay! Again, if you feel you cannot give me a full five stars for communication, then let me know as I try very hard to keep in contact with each buyer until I know the package has been received. Matter of fact ~ I don't leave feedback until I know you've received your package! I want to be sure you are satisfied and I don't feel the transaction is completed until you let me know, somehow (either via email or leaving feedback for me).

The third rating "shipping time" ~ I ship FAST!  Always have...don't believe that, well review all of my 3,600+ feedbacks! :) If you don't feel you can give me a solid five stars for shipping time, then I ask YOU to ask yourself "when did I pay my seller"?? I ship either the day payment is received (if its early enough in the day!) or the very next day. If there is ever any delay, I communicate this to you. If you pay with an e-check via paypal, I must wait until it clears before shipping...so that will delay the shipment time. If you have sent a money order...well, I can't ship your package until the payment arrives...so that delays things as well. Once an item sells, I'm anxious to get it on its way to the buyer...after all, its sitting here occupying space in my den and I love me a clean and organized house so you had better believe I want to ship your package ASAP! :)

The fourth rating "shipping and handling charges" ~ I know some people expect me to be able to ship their package for $2. Well, in reality, I regret that I simply cannot afford to do so. My s/h charges are a flat-rate $7 (unless I notice the package is heavier when listing and the rate is adjusted). This $7 covers priority shipping (which varies as much as almost $3 to ship a one pound package to Michigan versus California!), packaging materials (all items purchased are securely wrapped in specially bought raspberry pink shopping bags to help avoid any water/spilled liquid damage should your package be dropped by the carrier), gas to get your package to the post office (a 10-15 min drive from my home; MI has some of the highest gas prices in the nation *sigh*), and whatever is left over from that charge (which in many cases, there isn't) goes towards helping to cover the fees I incur to accept your paypal payment. Not to mention, all of the eBay listing and final value fees for each auction...but I'd have to charge $10-$15 for shipping if I expected to cover those for most items! LOL
So while I wish I could charge a really low shipping cost and eat the difference, I just cannot. It adds up so fast and things just don't sell for enough money on eBay to make me feel  "profitable". Most of my buyers are ecstatic that they are able to buy nearly new boutique/brand-name clothing for a *fraction* of the original cost (50-90% less than what they would have paid to buy it new, and it was only worn once or twice). If my S/H rates bother you, please do not bid on the auction. I do not want my buyers upset with me over the S/H but I hope that you can understand why it costs what it does...and believe me, there are times when the S/H quoted doesn't even cover the package I sent...and I have to eat the postage. It's all part of selling on eBay...what can ya do?!
