I learned how to sew from mom when I was 8 years old. From that point on I wanted to learn how to make other things. I used to think that after sewing, embroidery was the only other craft (my grandmother taught me how to do it). When I was 18 my other grandmother showed me how to crochet. I remember doing a chain over and over until she told me it was right. If I made an error, it was rip it out and go back. To this day, I still have that first afghan in my cedar chest unfinished. Maybe one of these days I'll get it back out and work on it to remember the good times with her. I have been crocheting for 30 years now. All the other crafts, I learned on my own.

I have pulled a lot of the crochet items from my own personal stash. I spend a lot of time going to estate sales and numerous stores looking to see what vintage items I can add to my store.

Look around in my store and you will see various items. There are even 100 year old 78 RPM Victrola records (my dad's). My mom has started cleaning out her house (she was the seamstress) so, I will be adding more of her items daily.

I have been married to a wonderful man for 19 years. We have two teenage boys and one teenage daughter. Since they are involved in a lot of school sports and JROTC, we run after them quite a bit.

I have recently joined the workforce again. I am working nights and sleep some during the day. I will continue to answer emails, run auctions and my store. Please understand that if you have emailed me, it may be later in the day before I answer you. I try to keep a close watch on my auctions and will try to be around before they end for any last minute questions.

I will be donating half of every item sold to my children's JROTC class until the end of February. The most important event for these teenagers is their Cadet Ball. This is where the underclassman are promoted to new staff positions for the next school year. It also gives them a chance to wear full dress uniforms for the guys and the girls are so beautiful in their formal gowns. This program at our school has made a big difference in the lives of these students.

Thanks for your support in helping me make this Ball a huge sucess for the students. My daughter told me the other day that they didn't have the funds to hold the Ball this year.
