I'm now retired and selling items that I've collected over the past thirty-five years. In most aspects of life, "You get what you pay for - bargains are few and far between". I sell my items via the "Buy It Now" process and seldom auction anything. Profit is secondary " I want the items in my collection to go to folks that will appreciate and use them". If my price is high, it's because I payed a high price for the item years ago. My items were purchased from individuals and wealthy estates (not at flea markets or garage sales) and are high quality and most are difficult to find. I always specify the condition of my items using understandable language - lightly used (item used a very few times, may be a trace of use) or unused (just as the piece came from the factory, may have a factory defect or two, but never used). I never use useless terms like normal use, estate glass or the many other terms used by sellers who don't want to specify the true condition of an item. BEWARE of these terms, you could be getting used to death items!
SHIPPING POLICIES
PLEASE DON'T PAY FROM THE INITIAL EBAY NOTIFICATION INVOICE - WAIT FOR MY EBAY INVOICE which will usually arrive the next day.The shipping cost quoted on all of my listings is an ESTIMATE ONLY (MY INVOICE will show the correct ACTUAL shipping cost which can only be determined after packing is completed. I don't pack my sets until they're sold so I can't give you the exact postage cost until I see how many boxes it takes to ship the set safely, the weight of each box and where you live. I NEVER charge anything for packing, handling or materials. IF YOU WAIT TO PAY until you receive my invoice and you happen to be in a zone that is close to me, the shipping cost could very well be less than quoted (MY invoice will reflect the actual shipping cost). You can only pay via PayPal ONCE, so if you happen to live far away from me in zones 6,7 or 8, the postage estimate on my listing will be to low and you will have to send a check for the difference - this will delay your receiving the item by as much as five days.I pack to better than Postal standards and I've never had an item/set damaged or returned! When you make a purchase, I pack the set (usually within a day or two) and then calculate the actual cost of shipping and insurance before I send you MY eBay invoice. After you receive MY invoice and make your payment, PayPal will notify me that they have received your payment. Payment must be made within five days of the purchase. The sooner you pay (after receiving MY invoice) the sooner you will receive your item. If your PayPal payment can't be immediately verified (this usually only happens if you are paying with an eCheck and don't have a PayPal account) I'm required by PayPal to hold shipment until your eCheck clears. If necessary, I do accept other forms of payment, but contact me if you intend to use one of them. If you have a question, you can contact me by clicking on the "Ask a question link" which is located on the right side of the sellers listing form. I ship the next day after receiving your confirmed payment using the United States Postal System. I ship via Parcel Post because it's the most economical method of shipping (6-10 day delivery). If you want your item quickly (2-3 day service), request that I ship via Priority Mail (naturally it will cost more). I've studied every other method of shipping and the U.S. Postal System is both the safest and the quickest - that's why I use them exclusively! I don't usually ship to other countries, but if you see something you're interested in ask, I might (you must contact me before you buy)? Shipping sets of china internationally is very expensive (in many cases, several hundred dollars)! International Buyers - Please Note:
Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. "These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up - do not confuse them for additional shipping charges". I do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior"! I'm retired so I'm able I'm able to pack your item carefully without hurrying. When preparing your set or item for shipping I pack everything very securely using bubble wrap between each piece and then wrapping like pieces together snugly with tape. I also double box and pad each box with two thicknesses of thick carpet padding. The entire process takes as much as 4-5 hours. Please read some of my feedback and you will see that I am honest, Take great care in packing and ship next day! I've never had an item broken or damaged!
RETURN POLICY
My return policy is simple. When you receive my item you have seven days to inspect it. If you disagree with my description of the item or its condition contact me immediately via email and explain what the problem is (I won't accept the return of any item because you've decided that for some reason you don't want or like it). My photos are clear and my description is detailed - so consider everything before you make your purchase. If I agree that the return of the item is justified, I will ask you to return it. As soon as I receive it, I will send a refund check or refund your PayPal account for the purchase price (I don't refund postage)! NOTE - You must contact me within five days or I won't accept the return. Returns must be packed in the original packing material - just as I packed the item and returned to me via the U.S Post Office. If the item is sent any other way, I will refuse it. THANK YOU for reading all this, I know it was boring - but it could save possible problems later.
