INFO .. Payment & Postage ..
My preferred method of payment from Aussies is Bank
Deposit or Money Order..
In the beginning Pay Pal was an independent financial
institution that worked in conjunction with E-bay and was offered by
sellers who chose ( yes we
had a choice ! ) to offer it so International buyers had a quick and
easy method of paying for their purchases as they really had no better
options…the fees were reasonable as there is no free way to exchange
overseas currency so it was great ! Before this buyers used to send US
dollars by registered mail ….can you imagine how long it took to
complete an International trade ! These days E-bay OWN pay pal and they
want as many people using it as possible ..recently they tried to make
it the ONLY payment method accepted for payment of an E-bay transaction
but the good old ACCC ruled against this anti competitive behaviour and
declined E-bays application for immunity against the Australian Law.
However, the policy is that I must offer Pay Pal as
an option to all buyers including fellow Aussie’s who have plenty of
other options where I will receive the full amount you send. Pay Pal
transaction fees are deducted from the payment you send me and they
really add up… with over 20 or more items every week it becomes very
costly for me...please bear this in mind when choosing your payment
method.
It
costs you more too as the Pay Pal protection policies require items to
be sent with proof of postage in order to be eligible in the event of a
problem so you need to spend extra money on Registered post even if you
don’t want it !
Just
a quick point of interest … I have a business contract with Aust Post
and when E-bay were pushing to make Pay Pal the only payment method
accepted we asked our business manager how Aust Post felt about losing
the revenue they get from Money Orders etc…I was very surprised to
receive no comment and felt that they weren’t that bothered. A lot of
HUGE corporations and even the Reserve bank fought this pay pal push so
it seemed a bit odd… Maybe they knew the registered mail clause with
Pay Pal would make them even more money than the odd money order. The
have since bought a new product into the range ..Registered Prepaid bags
!

Because we like to offer cost price postage, and are
also happy to combine items won together to save you money on postage,
the parcels are all packaged after auction end so we can determine
the best postage & packaging option for your item /s and offer
you the best postage to your location. This means it is impossible
to give an exact postage cost until after auction end. Thanks for your
patience with this method, I’m hoping you will see the benefits as
postage can vary greatly from one state to another
...why pay too much for a fixed price postage to make it easy on
me ! The exception is the postage satchels which are used for handbags
and non breakables.
I’m always happy to give you a rough idea what
postage may cost before auction end if you e-mail me and let me know
your postcode…
If
you haven’t heard from us ...
I don’t use e-bays auto invoice so will e-mail you
an invoice with all the payment & bank info you
need when we have calculated your total..this will be within a
few hours of auction end..
If you haven't received an E-Mail with
your total and payment details within a few hours of auction end PLEASE
make sure your current e-mail address is correct with e-bay, or check
your spam / junk mail folder as we e-mail everybody the same night
the auction ends NO EXCEPTIONS. If you still can’t find the
e-mail with your total please feel free to contact us for help
