My name is Maria Magher, and I have been creating one-of-a-kind (OOAK) fashion dolls since 2001. I work with all sizes and styles of
fashion dolls, from 11.5" models like Barbie and Fashion Royalty, to 16" models like Tyler and Matt O'Neill. I also work with Asian
ball-jointed dolls. I'm always looking for new models to work with!
I have won a number of awards for my work, including:
- 1st place Celebrity category, 2006 Barbie Bazaar BMAA Contest
- 1st place Carnival Side Shows category, 2006 International Fashion Doll Convention
- 1st place Mystical Fantasies category, 2006 Fashion Doll Makeover awards
- 1st place Pirate's Lass category, 2007 Tonner Convention
- 2nd Place Celebrity Canteen category, 2007 Fashion Doll Makeover awards
- 2nd place Miscellaneous category, 2007 International Fashion Doll Convention
- 3rd place Pirates category, 2007 International Fashion Doll Convention
- 3rd place Goth category, 2007 International Fashion Doll Convention
- 3rd place Broadway Shows category, 2006 International Fashion Doll Convention
- 3rd place Divine Decadence/Moulin Rouge, 2005 Fashion Doll Makeover Awards
I specialize in complete makeovers that include total repainting, complete costume, restyling and accessories. But I am available to help
with any part of the makeover that your doll needs, including a repaint alone, facial and body enhancements, removable clothing, and more.
All of the costumes on my dolls are sewn by hand or machine. Repaints are done with quality acrylic paints and sealers.
Each one-of-a-kind doll is a unique creation that cannot be replicated. Hard work and attention to detail is put into every doll. I am always
willing to work with anyone who receives one of my dolls and is not 100% satisfied!
If you have a special doll in mind, such as a favorite celebrity, a relative, or even yourself on a special day, please ask me about a commission.
This is a doll that I make especially for you based on your specifications. After discussing all the details with you, I provide a price quote, and
a 50% deposit is required for me to actually begin work on the doll. It then takes about four weeks to complete your doll, and I provide numerous
pictures of the finished product for your approval. The final amount would be due at that time. A commission is the best way to get that perfect
doll that you've been wanting! And personalized dolls of loved ones are a great gift! (I know: I give them all the time, and they are a bit hit!)
Here are a few samples of my work, but for a more complete representation, check out my Web site, www.dollsbymaria.com.
